So from what I hear Brooklyn Fire Records has made a very large impact on this years WMC. Discobelle released a huge compilation of remixes of some of the greatest mid 90's underground rave classics by the huge talent pool that makes up this new record label. So I have finally gotten a legit set up to record at my apartment. Now I can get back on course with the podcast. Its funny how old friends have been talking to me alot about the raves we used to go back in the late 90's. Funny only because I have been feeling a push back towards the kind of music that I was really into at the time. This mix will give you an idea of how a real party should progress through the night. Minimal and tech at the beginning to pull you in, hard pounding bass in the middle then sweet melodies to bring you down at the end. I hope you enjoy it. When I first got into electronic music it was through the Chicago rave scene in the mid 90's. One name that I remember from countless parties was Angel Alanis. With over 100 releases to his name on many of the legendary labels in house music including Under Construction, Dust Traxx, Jasper Stone Trax, International House Records and Catalyst Recording just to name a few. Mr. Alanis offered up this gem today on his facebook page. It really takes me back to the time when I was partying in Chicago at Route 66 and countless warehouses.

Andrew Decade is upcoming dj/producer here in San Diego. After helping me out with a flyer he sent me over his latest remix for one of SD's super hipster bands. (I dont feel the band is even worth mentioning by name, I think they as a band are just as over hyped as they are as djs.) But back to the production work here which I truly like. I especially like the track from about the two minute point on. The thought of a instrumental version floating around feels like a dream though. Now theres really no way you could spend any amount of time at the Louisville skatepark and not get to know about Metal Bikes.
