So I know its been a LONG time since I have posted anything here and I know that the timing to do a blog isnt there for me. So this page is now going to serve as a place to find and store my old mixes as well as older tracks that are not on my soundcloud page. First off is a mix I did a couple of months ago that is club and bmore for the most part. Straight Club Bangin Music!!
If you have heard one of my club sets recently you have heard me drop Brenmar's remix of R U That Somebody and seen the dance floor go mad. So you must know how happy I was to see this new mix from him on soundcloud this morning. I personally can never get enough of GOOD club music (and for the record 95% of whats out there and what you actually hear in clubs is garbage, BIG UPS to those 5% ers actually holding it down!!!!) and this mix is nothing short of what a club should be banging on the weekend!!

Ive been getting way to busy to handle this blog by myself and I know all the loyal followers are looking for more frequent postings so I am looking for an intern to help with postings on the blog. Yes its an internship so you wont be getting paid as of right now and free music will probably be your biggest perk, but hey some people like free music. So those of you that interested email me something clever to show me why I should pick you. Send all emails to ripdaily@gmail.com . Thanks and good luck
This right here is the reason I have been almost nonexistent on here for the last few weeks. Em goes hard in this one, and so do the other guys but its really great to see Marshall get back to what he does best. His album is going to show why so much of the game is garbage right now.

I know its been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything besides mixes for you guys and I'm sorry. Ive found a few minutes this morning to make it up to you. Heres a group of tracks that have been sitting in my post folder for some time now, some are old in blog years and some a new but all of these are sure to make you move. From house to disco we got you covered.
Yeah A-Trak is a beast and he won the DMC title at what like 16? This is the follow up from 2007s Dirty South Dance and its exactly what the title says it is, dance remixes of some of the best rappers from the dirty dirty. Kuts and scrathes galore on this one kids.
Back once again with Grapes Apes Radio and today we are officially dropping #10! The response to these have been nothing short of amazing worldwide gaining just over 10,000 loyal listeners. This time around we feature one of Chicagos up and coming producers/djs and blog favorite Maddjazz (with more on him here). With a sound that takes me feel like Im back partying at Route 66, his original tracks mixed with his DMC style mixing keeps the dance floor moving. Then on the second half of the mixtape I come through with some sounds that keep that chi town feeling going along with some original tracks under the name Junkyard Dog.
So tomorrow night brings the return of the now monthly Alice in Discoland party and this time around we are starting the night off with a trunk show from our very own M. Dot Design Studio and a few other local designers. The trunk show is from 8-930 and will be followed by another fantastic night of funk, disco and house with special guest Eji Val of Static Discos. Hope to see you all there.
And heres a little video to get you in the mood, who knew Alice could rap just like Gangsta Boo?
As one third of the intergalactic sound team the Disco Aliens, Obitykenobi can be seen rocking underground parties from Detroit to Miami and everywhere in between. This mix was done in preperation for the upcoming Detroit Electronic Music Festival which is coming up in a few weeks and features talent from all over the world but highlighting the Detroit sound and local talent pool. So from what I hear Brooklyn Fire Records has made a very large impact on this years WMC. Discobelle released a huge compilation of remixes of some of the greatest mid 90's underground rave classics by the huge talent pool that makes up this new record label. One track that didn't get in on this release but has had a huge push over the weekend comes from New Zealand producer Dan Aux. His remix for drum n bass outfit Stakka is pure prime time fun.
So I have finally gotten a legit set up to record at my apartment. Now I can get back on course with the podcast. Its funny how old friends have been talking to me alot about the raves we used to go back in the late 90's. Funny only because I have been feeling a push back towards the kind of music that I was really into at the time. This mix will give you an idea of how a real party should progress through the night. Minimal and tech at the beginning to pull you in, hard pounding bass in the middle then sweet melodies to bring you down at the end. I hope you enjoy it. Also in Vol. 8 we will return to our two dj format.
You can sign up to follow the podcast here by simply clicking on the itunes icon about half way down on the right hand side.

If you have ever heard me play a party rock/hip hop set you have no doubt heard some of the great stuff that San Fran's DJ B. Cause is doing. Keeping it hood and funky is something that this guy does extremely well. So heres two of his newer edits that are sure to make any set a little more enjoyable.
Season two of my favorite snowboard company, Yes, had a great showing at the trade show last week in Denver. Fronted by heavy hitters Romain DeMarchi, DCP, And JP Solberg, this boutique style board company is gaining a very large following. Check out the site and you will see why.
Ahh the return of disco house to the dance floors. And nobody is doing it better that these guys from Leeds, Ghosts of Venice. They just recently announced a small tour with another one of our favorites, LePrincple Make sure to check them out if they hit a city near you.
Im really glad to see a strong resurgence in the Chicago sound. For those of you who have never been lucky enough to have visited this fine city, let me say it has one of the best vibes for music Ive ever seen. One group of djs that's pushing Chicago back into the spot light is the Ghetto Division guys. Maddjazz is one member of the crew and he has been turning out some great south side anthems sure to make the hood near you show off their footwork. Ghetto bangers!!
So if you havent been around to get the huge hype surrounding this event, you probably don't live in San Diego. M.Dot Design Studios is bringing the ruckus tomorrow night with the debut fashion show of the super gifted Michelle Aquino. Lots of magazines and even some red carpet. And I get to lay down the sound track. Be there or be square.
So tomorrow I hope to get some first tracks like ones above when we head back up to Mountain High get do a little snowboarding. Today I bring you one of the first tracks I ever made. Its number 3 to be exact. Just a little treat for those of you not on my facebook page.
Not many people think of Louisville, Ky as a hot bed of musical talent, I like to think otherwise. These days its not hard to give examples of great music coming from people that have once or currently call Louisville home. After playing drums for the likes of Santogold, Spank Rock, Hearts Revolution, Young Love and Major Lazor, Prince Terrence brings us Hussle Club. Being an amazing drummer is one thing, but playing all the instruments himself is completely a whole different story. The first release also sees heavy remixes from Felix Cartel and Bird Peterson.
