Im really glad to see a strong resurgence in the Chicago sound. For those of you who have never been lucky enough to have visited this fine city, let me say it has one of the best vibes for music Ive ever seen. One group of djs that's pushing Chicago back into the spot light is the Ghetto Division guys. Maddjazz is one member of the crew and he has been turning out some great south side anthems sure to make the hood near you show off their footwork. Ghetto bangers!!

So there is a new breed of producer out there, one that seems to never sleep and is constantly evolving and tweaking their art into amazing tracks. Figure has shot me over more tracks and has decided to take on disco house and does so brilliantly. He has a new project called Le Principle and its going to be huge!! Watch out! Below is a video for You Cann't Fake It, I wish I could give you the track but I've been asked to keep everything under tight wraps for the time being. Here we go again!! Figure sent me over his August Mix that we decided to include it on Grape Apes Radio Volume 3. Major Lazer Remix

So I have been really hesitant to post any Major Lazer stuff on here. Not because I dont dig it more because I dont want to post things that you can find on every other blog out there. Thats not my style. This however is the exception. Figure ( more on him here) drops an absolutely jackin remix for Baby. love the vocal stabs and love the bounce to it. This will be in my sets for a while I have a feeling.

I always love finding music that comes from unexpected places and that exactly what I got when I ran across Figure. A recent addition to Brooklyn Fire Records he is poised to put the mid west back on the map! I for one am glad to see something coming out the place I used to call home and where the scene was hurting for so long. I expect big things in the future out of Figure and you should to!
