Im really glad to see a strong resurgence in the Chicago sound. For those of you who have never been lucky enough to have visited this fine city, let me say it has one of the best vibes for music Ive ever seen. One group of djs that's pushing Chicago back into the spot light is the Ghetto Division guys. Maddjazz is one member of the crew and he has been turning out some great south side anthems sure to make the hood near you show off their footwork. Ghetto bangers!!
So tomorrow I hope to get some first tracks like ones above when we head back up to Mountain High get do a little snowboarding. Today I bring you one of the first tracks I ever made. Its number 3 to be exact. Just a little treat for those of you not on my facebook page.
I cann't really find alot out about this other than its from American French Machine aka Samy Deep and Pascal Black. Released in 2001 this amazing disco/french house.
At 15 I was doing everything you would have expected someone that age to be doing. But one thing for sure is that I NEVER was producing dance floor smashing tracks that sound like they are from someone twice my age. Then again I'm not 15 year old Brazilian wonder kid Kamei. I wish there was a radio station that played great music like this track. Pure disco house bliss, there's even a little funky break or two mixed in with a splash of Mario Brothers. Haha. The future looks bright with this kid making music!
Those of you who check out my blog should remember Harvard Bass. This time around he does an excellent remix for Drop the Lime. This track has everything I love about house music. An infectious bassline, tons and tons of bounce and vocals like no other. This will be in heavy rotation by some very big djs for the rest of the year I'm sure. Enjoy.
Nothing like some french house on a beautiful sunday afternoon. R.I.V.E.R. has been getting alot of love on his new track Fairycide and after listening to it is very easy to see why. Bouncy house goodness. Enjoy!!!
I'm sitting here listening to my july mix before I post it later today and I thought I should post a little for you guys. OH!Mega hails from Long Beach and and is making great tunes that puts a crunk twist on house music. Watch out for this kid cause he has an amazing sound to his work. So heres two original tracks. Duck Hunt that is more of that LA electro feel and Funk Hallelujah which is just down right housey with alot of nice vocal stabs to it. Enjoy!!
